Young Artist Workshop 2 of 3

Lino cut print making workshop, inspired by the natural world

In this workshop you will learn how to carve a pattern or design into linoleum to create a lino cut print.

Have you ever been out walking and picked up a leaf and looked closely at its veins, or noticed the ripples on the sea when the wind blows over it? This exploratory workshop will be inspired by the patterns, details, and scenery of the natural world.

Materials (provided): silk cut linoleum, paper, carving tools, printing press, ink

To bring (optional): Something from nature that inspires you - a leaf, a shell, something you’ve collected, a photograph of a seascape, tree or animal, anything natural!

Location: Porcelain Painters Studio (next to Council offices), 10 George Street Currie

Taught by artists, Dianne and Andrew Blake

All art materials, snacks and drinks provided.

These workshops are free.

RSVP required for materials.
